Call for Proposals: September 2027 ELTHE Special Issue

The Future of HIPs Is Not Just a Longer List

ELTHE invites proposals for its September 2027 special issue exploring what makes high-impact practices (HIPs) truly high-impact. Guest edited by Jocelyn Evans and Sara Evans, the issue seeks research that moves beyond identifying HIPs to examining how intentional design shapes student experiences and outcomes, for whom, and under what conditions.

Proposals of 500–750 words are due January 1, 2027. Full manuscripts will be due May 1, 2027, with publication anticipated in early September. Read our blog post for more information about the special issue, potential research topics, and submission requirements.
