Exploring the Meaning and Value of Professional Development in the Context of Experiential Learning.

Professional development can help individuals build important skills and knowledge, foster community, and expand networks; It can also support personal growth, leadership, and career and vocational exploration. While frameworks and best practices for professional development in higher education are well-documented, their connection to experiential education remains underexplored.
Given the diversity of pedagogical approaches to experiential education, and the various professional roles and responsibilities that experiential educators, leaders, and administrators can have, this panel event is meant to help us discuss and explore the important connection between professional development and experiential education.

3. In what ways do institutional resources impact your ability to engage in professional development for experiential education? What challenges or constraints have you encountered and how, if at all, have you been able to overcome these?
